Aluminum 6026 is a wrought alloy with excellent corrosion resistance and is ideal for anodizing. It is a good alternative for 6061 or the 6082 and has a minimum tensile strength similar to the 2011 alloy which is a stronger aluminum other than the 7075. The temper will be a T6 – solution heat treated and then artificially aged. The 6026 aluminum is ideal for high speed machining applications and is suitable for welding (medium). Aluminium alloy 6026 is a recent developed alloy meeting the following European Environmental Protection Directives – 2000/53/CE-ELV for the automotive sector and 2002/95/CE-RoHS for the electrical and electronics sector. |
